An easy, not too hilly, pretty quiet (not a lot of traffic) recreational ride from the Prairie Trail trailhead parking lot in Taycheedah to LeClare Dairy in Pipe, Wis. for lunch and hanging out and petting some goats, llamas, and cows. Oh and tasting some wonderful Wisconsin cheeses made from both goat and or cow milks. The cafe has a great menu and there's locally made ice cream for dessert. This is nice ride for families with older aspiring cyclists, that are ready for longer rides and understand proper ride safety, or with little ones that are riding along with mom or dad in trailers or bike seats. The paved country roads do not have a lot of traffic, but there are always some motor vehicles, but from my experience the drivers are very polite, slow down and pass with caution usually crossing fully into the opposing lane to do so.

This casual day ride starts off on the Peebles Trail that parallels County Rd. WH up the ledge (Niagra Escarpment) into the village of Saint Peter.  The Peebles trail ends in Saint Peter and the ride transitions onto riding the paved shoulders and roads from Saint Peter to the LeClare Dairy.  As the ride proceeds north in Saint Peter on Cty Rd. QQ before leaving town there is @poi[Hermann's Park](149074621) a @photo[nice stop for kids to a break](16092043).

In Saint Peter the ride turns @photo[north (left) at County Rd. QQ. ](16092039) At the intersection of Cty Rd. WH and QQ the St. Peter's Church will be on the right and the church cemetery on the left.

Continue north on Cty Rd. QQ through the village of Silica until reaching the intersection of Cty Rd. Q.  @photo[Turn right (east) onto Q](16092044).  Ride Cty Rd. Q into the @photo[village of Johnsburg](16092045).  In Johnsburg, on the right side as you come into town is the Holyland Catholic Church School which has a nice covered @photo[picnic shelter and playground](16092046) if another break is needed for younger riders.  At the stop sign continue straight (north) onto Cty Rd. W. Where the road begins to curve to the left is when the ride makes a @photo[right turn (east) onto Calmar Rd.](16092047).  The Calmar Rd. segment is pretty short.  The ride turns north (left) again onto St. Paul Rd.  Saint Paul road is probably the least traveled road by vehicles on this route, but that means it's also the most neglected, so expect a lot of cracks in the asphalt.  Remain riding north on St. Paul Rd crossing over Kiel Rd.  After crossing Kiel road St. Paul Rd. does a bit of twisting curves with lots of trees past St. Paul's Church cemetery and the Church which is a pleasant country setting to ride past.  Not too far past the church segment is the intersection of Cty Rd. HH where the ride turns left (west) to LeClare Dairy, which will be on the left (south side) of Cty Rd. HH.

Since this is an "out and back" bike route the return trip is simply following the same route in reverse back to the Winnebago Park and Ride on the Prairie/Peebles Trail.
