This is the iconic Massachusetts coastal ride with ocean views, public beaches, lighthouses, bays, harbors, and seaside towns. A ride with many photo ops.

Routedetails

**Highlights:**
* The ride starts at Wompatuck State Park Headquarters in Hingham.  The route begins on park roads which exit to country lanes in Norwell.
* About mile 9, the view suddenly opens to Scituate Harbor. Stop at the @poi[Harbor Master](1082976) for a bio break or just the view of the harbor.  You will soon pass several restaurants if in need of more fuel.  Then ride through the town to @poi[Old Scituate Lighthouse](1082972)and your first dramatic ocean view.  At mile 15, stop along Glades Road for more water views and a look at @poi[Minot Ledge Lighthouse](1083043). 
* The route soon enters Cohasset with its  @poi[lighthouse](1082973) a couple of blocks off the route at mile 17.8.  The route soon hugs the coast with great views along Atlantic Avenue and @poi[Jerusalem Road](1082975).
* It then enters Hull, first settled in 1621, and crosses a neck with Crescent Beach to the right before heading out the peninsula where most of the old beach town is located.  You soon pass @poi[Nantasket Beach](1083021)on your right and the original @poi[Paragon Park Carousel](1082974) on your left. Then out to the tip of the town at @poi[Hull Gut](1083022) with great views of Boston and its Harbor Islands before turning around for the return.  There are a couple of simple food stops at the turnaround and many more opportunities for fried clams, lobster rolls, and other New England comfort food as you pass through the Nantasket Beach area on the return.
* Country roads then take you back to the start in Hingham.

**Note:**
Parking is availble available in lots on both sides of Union Street at the park HQ several hundred yards beyond park entrance.
