## **Black Mountain Town & Country Loop**
The Black Mountain Town & Country Loop provides a tour of many of the visitor destinations in Black Mountain. The route begins with a scenic roll along the **@slice[Oaks Trail](d,1817.14,2657.76)** and around the **@poi[Community Garden](2492874)** before leaving town to enter the **North Fork Valley**. Out-n-back spurs along the Left and Right Forks offer stunning views reaching all the way to the **Blue Ridge Parkway** high above the valley. As the route returns to town, it passes by **@poi[Lake Tomahawk](2492875)** before traveling through the historic Montreat Arch and into the village of **Montreat**. This out-n-back spur takes riders into a cove filled with peaceful retreat homes and **@poi[Lake Susan](2492893)**. This moderate route offers approximately **1,200' of elevation gain** over **20 miles**.

## **Locals Tip**
Great coffee can be found near the route at [**Dynamite Roasting**](http://www.dynamiteroasting.com/), 3198 US 70 W. At mile 2.5, travel east on US 70 for approximately .25 miles to reach @poi[Dynamite Roasting](2492876) on the right. This route can easily be modified to start & finish at [**Roots & Fruits Market**](http://rootsandfruitsmarket.com/), @poi[151 S Ridgeway Ave](2492878) or [**Pisgah Brewing**](http://www.pisgahbrewing.com/), @poi[150 Eastside Dr](2492877). Roots & Fruits Market offers farm to table dining with many ingredients sourced on site. Pisgah Brewing offers great craft brews and often hosts a food truck.
